What usually goes wrong

  • Growers do not understand the deductions on their slips and ask through the board.
  • Disbun prices, management fees and cooperative dues are calculated in spreadsheets.
  • Grower plot and STDB data is scattered when buyers or replanting programmes ask for it.
  • Smallholder ISPO is applied for as a group and needs an internal control system (training, inspections, farm records) that still lives on paper.
